Community Clicks in Newham began in 2021, supporting learners aged 55 and over with digital skills for empowerment and independence, in partnership with Community Links (part of Catch 22) and ongoing sponsorship from 3i.
Susan wanted to connect with her grandchildren who lived abroad. With the help of Community Clicks, she learned to use various communication apps and social media, making her an active participant in her grandchildren’s lives, sharing moments and memories across the geographical divide.
Rukia joined Community Clicks and after graduating with new digital skills, new friends and more confidence, she successfully secured a new role as a Teaching Assistant in a local school.
John felt left behind in the digital age. Through Community Clicks, he learned to use email, navigate social media, and even began managing his appointments online. His newfound skills increased his independence and significantly improved his confidence.
